Where is El Sanatorio?

Calle 19 #4-23, Centro Histórico, Santa Marta, Colombia — a 5-minute walk from Plaza Bolívar and 10 minutes from the cruise terminal. Look for the black facade with purple bougainvillea and red neon.

What are the opening hours?

Wednesday 7:00 PM to 1:00 AM, Thursday 7:00 PM to 1:00 AM, Friday 7:00 PM to 2:00 AM, Saturday 7:00 PM to 2:00 AM, and Sunday 7:00 PM to 12:00 AM, and public-holiday Mondays 7:00 PM to 1:00 AM. Wednesday is a normal open night: bar and grill, with one actor in the house; the only thing that does not run that night is the maze. Sunday is a normal opening night — not only on holiday weekends. The kitchen stops before the house closes — an hour early on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, an hour and a half early on Fridays and Saturdays. The bar closes with the venue, so if you are coming to eat it is worth arriving with time.

How much is the ticket?

The experience ticket costs $69,000 COP. Capacity is intimate: up to 30 guests per night.

What is El Sanatorio?

A gastro venue and horror experience inside the former Hospital del Tórax, with four zones under one roof: La Parrilla (street-side yakitori), La Farmacia (cocktail bar), Pabellón Abierto (patio) and Paciente 013 (horror maze).
